![]() Hello fellow investors / traders, Today I'm going back to a past winner. A ticker that we first alerted before everyone else and went on to gain 60% in the proceeding days, and one that we've updated you on regularly over the past few months.
Yesterday SPYR, Inc (SPYR) started to make another strong push higher off as it bounced off its 100 day moving average, and sliced through its 50 day moving average to the upside. I think SPYR could be headed towards recent highs on a new test of resistance as it looks to breakout. Recent highs were at $0.46. It closed today at $0.32. So a move back to recent highs could yield 40%+ upside. And as you know, SPYR has good liquidity and a tight spread. If you are wondering why SPYR made a strong move higher yesterday, look no further than the news the company issued. The company announced that they had entered into an agreement with Kemojo Studios to publish its newest game, Drone Wars. Drone Wars is a free to play action combat game in which the player engages in military drone campaigns in different areas of the world. The game features campaigns set in the modern day and in the future, allowing the game to incorporate both current weapons and technologies and newly imagined weaponry. SPYR, INC. is a holding company that through its wholly owned subsidiary SPYR APPS, LLC, is engaged in mobile application and game publishing and development. SPYR, INC. also owns and operates an "American Diner" theme restaurant located in the Philadelphia International Airport in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania called "Eat at Joe's®" through its other wholly-owned subsidiary, E.A.J.: PHL Airport Inc. The Company is currently exploring opportunities for additional acquisitions in these and other verticals, including mobile application and game development, in order to expand its holdings, to drive and increase revenue and to generate profits and build value for shareholders. SPYR is a SEC fully reporting company, and per their latest 10Q filing, the company had almost $6 million in cash, and no debt. That's a a strong capital base to provide for future growth. In late March, SPYR broadened its footprint in the digital publishing and advertising space when it entered the multi-billion dollar mobile apps and games market with the formation of SPYR APPS, LLC. With this announcement, SPYR entered the very popular and fast-growing mobile apps and games industry, which will create additional platforms for content and for advertising. >>> Pocket Starships Earlier this year SPYR signed a deal with Spectacle Games to publish Pocket Starships, a real-time, cross-platform space-themed MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game. Pocket Starships is believed to be the very first game in the entire history of Mobile Gaming that cross platforms nearly every device and operating system in existence. The developer behind Pocket Starships is Lars Koschin, a super star game developer. He headed the development team for World of Tanks, which has done $1.3 billion in revenue in the last three years alone. And earlier this month, SPYR and the developer of Pocket Starships inked a deal under which, SPYR has the option to purchase substantially all of the assets and intellectual property of the developer, including all assets related to Pocket Starships and the engine on which Pocket Starships is built, which provides the unique real-time, cross-platform aspect of the game. >>> The Massive Online Gaming Industry eMarketer.com showed in a 2014 study, U.S. adults are spending more time each day using digital devices (computers, mobile phones, tablets) than they are watching television, listening to the radio or reading newspapers and magazines. According to eMarketer, as the percentages of time spent per day on digital devices grows, uses of other forms of media rapidly declines. And then there is the apps and games space, where Entrepreneur.com says that by 2017, it’s expected that over 268 billion app downloads will generate $77 billion worth of revenue. So, it is with these already substantial and growing numbers, that SPYR anxiously follows the trend. The company’s nine websites cater to a number of different audiences, and now with the company entering the mobile apps and games space, SPYR should be positioned to become a player in the digital publishing and advertising industry for years to come. We think this recent surge higher could see SPYR headed back to recent highs of $0.42 which gives us impressive upside. But an even better result would be a breakout past this level back to 2015 highs of around $1.
