Big gains had after morning reversal

Published: Tue, 05/12/15

Morning all,

SPYR is trading well today. The morning reversal was sick, running 26% from the lows.

You can see below on the 2-day and 6-month charts that it held key support levels perfectly.

Make sure you keep watching SPYR today. If it can go green, we could see a big short squeeze.

Otherwise it may give us opportunities to buy the dips ahead of what could be another massive day tomorrow.

Congrats.

Shiznit

Hello fellow investors / traders,

Today I am focusing on the bounce play of a ticker that sold off big yesterday.

SPYR, Inc (SPYR) has sold off big over the last week or so. Now supported by its 100 day moving average of around $0.50, we think it is ready for a bounce higher.

And we love the tight spread on level 2 and high liquidity on SPYR too.

SPYR Building a Portfolio of Brands to Compete in the Multi-Billion Dollar Digital Publishing & Advertising Industry

SPYR, INC. (OTCQB: SPYR) is currently in the middle of an aggressive makeover that now has the company operating in the one of the hottest industries to invest in today – digital publishing and advertising!

The company, which was formerly Eat at Joe's, shifted its business model dramatically after the company named James R. Thompson as its new CEO.

SPYR’s transition to digital media is following an explosive worldwide trend.  This trend is due to a powerful shift in the way we are getting our information in the U.S. and around the world; a shift away from television, radio and newspapers to mobile devices and online.

Entrepreneur.com reports that more than 1 Billion smartphones will be purchased in 2015 alone and that number will only continue to rise each year.  So SPYR has developed a business model that will offer a portfolio of digital brands and platforms for consumers to experience, and for advertisers to reach those consumers with online and mobile ads strategically placed on each of those platforms.

In late February, SPYR, which was still Eat at Joe’s at the time, made its first move in its new industry when it acquired Franklin Networks and its eight established online brands that include:

Flawless.comEntrée.comGrubbr.comGuiltyTravel.com; Gladiators.comCrumb.comParentingPad.com; and Nutristic.com

The company has since added another online website, CelebrityHQ.com.  Each of these sites and any future sites the company adds to its portfolio will ideally generate revenue for SPYR as advertisers use the sites to reach out to consumers.  As media giant Condé Nast has proven with brands like GQ, Vogue, Vanity Fair and Glamour, growing a vast consumer base is a prime target for advertisers looking to introduce their products through well-placed advertisements right where readers are spending time.

In late March, SPYR broadened its footprint in the digital publishing and advertising space when it entered the multi-billion dollar mobile apps and games market with the formation of SPYR APPS, LLC.  With this announcement, SPYR entered the very popular and fast-growing mobile apps and games industry, which will create additional platforms for content and for advertising.

eMarketer.com showed in a 2014 study, U.S. adults are spending more time each day using digital devices (computers, mobile phones, tablets) than they are watching television, listening to the radio or reading newspapers and magazines.  According to eMarketer, as the percentages of time spent per day on digital devices grows, uses of other forms of media rapidly declines.

And then there is the apps and games space, where Entrepreneur.com says that by 2017, it’s expected that over 268 billion app downloads will generate $77 billion worth of revenue.

So, it is with these already substantial and growing numbers, that SPYR anxiously follows the trend.  The company’s nine websites cater to a number of different audiences, and now with the company entering the mobile apps and games space, SPYR should be positioned to become a player in the digital publishing and advertising industry for years to come.
